DE-ICE CITIZENS BANK (Various venues)

A coalition of progressive groups will be holding peaceful standouts across

New England on Saturday, January 24th to protest Citizens Bank for its

financing of CoreCivic and Geo Group, two of the largest builders and

operators of private prisons and detention centers for ICE in this country.

Standout volunteers are needed to hand out flyers and encourage bank

customers to close their accounts, and to write to their local bank manager

and the Citizens CEO to insist that the bank’s financial practices align with

its stated values. Supporters are encouraged to attend in solidarity or hold

signs.
