DESCRIPTION:A coalition of progressive groups will be holding peaceful standouts across \nNew England on Saturday\, January 24th to protest Citizens Bank for its \nfinancing of CoreCivic and Geo Group\, two of the largest builders and \noperators of private prisons and detention centers for ICE in this country. \nStandout volunteers are needed to hand out flyers and encourage bank \ncustomers to close their accounts\, and to write to their local bank manager \nand the Citizens CEO to insist that the bank’s financial practices align with \nits stated values. Supporters are encouraged to attend in solidarity or hold \nsigns. \nThe starting and ending times \nmay vary slightly depending on location.
