Regardless of your views on any other political issues\, if you support immigrants and their constitutional rights and are committed to nonviolence you are welcome to join. \n\n\nA note about parking: National Development Corp has posted new signs restricting parking in any of the business lots along District Ave and they did in fact tow some people’s vehicles.  The Burlington Mall no longer allows people to park in their lots.  Attendees are encouraged to be creative. For now\, we still have permission to park in the AMC lot\, but please note that the sidewalks between AMC and the District may be hazardous. Consider coordinating with friends to rideshare a Lyft or to shuttle each other from AMC over to the site.

DESCRIPTION:Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN) invites you to stand in solidarity with immigrants and resistance to ICE and their cruel and lawless detention of our neighbors Thursdays from 11am-1pm.  Regardless of any other political views\, you are welcome to join us and demand Justice 4 All so long as you do so non-violently. \nOur friends at Bearing Witness have been hosting gatherings at this location for many weeks. We are an unaffiliated group\, but very much aligned with their values and mission. Our goal is to add to the total number of hours that citizens stand in non-violent opposition to the deplorable detainment conditions at this location. If you have been to Bearing Witness on Wednesdays\, we would love to have you at Justice 4 All Thursdays. \nSchedule (Starting Thursday\, September 4 – more dates to follow) \n11:00-11:30 Welcome; music; announcements\n11:30-12:30 Stand with signs along District Ave\n12:30-1:00 Optional short march down to Mall Rd. \nWhat happens at this ICE office? \nICE personnel depart from District Ave. in unmarked vans with tinted windows on missions to abduct immigrants across New England. Immigrants may also show up at the office for appointments. The facility on District Ave was never intended to be a detention center\, yet immigration lawyers and media interviews reveal that people are now being housed here in conditions that have been called “abysmal” and “unsanitary.” \nWhat to expect at Justice 4 All? \nWe are committed to nonviolence\, and we stand peacefully with signs outside the facility. We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \nSigns \nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.

DESCRIPTION:This is both an in-person event and on Zoom.\n\nThe abuses that led to the American Revolution–rule by a king\, troops seizing people without a warrant\, using office for personal gain\, arresting people for what they say–are all being repeated in our time.  People who have studied authoritarian takeovers all agree that popular resistance can make the difference between a democracy’s survival or death.  Come find out how citizen activism can reverse authoritarian trends\, what popular resistance has looked like over the past year\, and what we have to prepare for in the next three years.  Learn about the impact of ICE activity in Massachusetts\, how LUCE has evolved to become a potent force for immigrant justice and equity in the state\, and effective actions that people can take now to support at-risk populations.\n\nSpeakers:\n\nToby Sackton has been a lifelong movement activist in the Boston area and has lived in Lexington for 40 years.  He was one of the founders of Lexington Alarm on Patriots Day 2025.\nStephen Lewin-Berlin is a long-time activist committed to community building and resisting injustice through nonviolent actions.  He is a local hub lead for LUCE–a Massachusetts-wide rapid response network that supports immigrants and opposes ICE activity throughout the state.\n\nParking:  Parking is available at First Parish in Wayland.  If overflow parking is needed\, we recommend crossing Route 27 at the light and parking in the Town Hall parking lots across the street.\n\nZoom Link:  https://zoom.us/j/99546813808?pwd=H3VLkxlYMRd4y5HCEiyxSWnYTrKMuy.1

DESCRIPTION:Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN) invites you to stand in solidarity with immigrants and resistance to ICE and their cruel and lawless detention of our neighbors Thursdays from 11am-1pm.  Regardless of any other political views\, you are welcome to join us and demand Justice 4 All so long as you do so non-violently. \nOur friends at Bearing Witness have been hosting gatherings at this location for many weeks. We are an unaffiliated group\, but very much aligned with their values and mission. Our goal is to add to the total number of hours that citizens stand in non-violent opposition to the deplorable detainment conditions at this location. If you have been to Bearing Witness on Wednesdays\, we would love to have you at Justice 4 All Thursdays. \nSchedule (Starting Thursday\, September 4 – more dates to follow) \n11:00-11:30 Welcome; music; announcements\n11:30-12:30 Stand with signs along District Ave\n12:30-1:00 Optional short march down to Mall Rd. \nWhat happens at this ICE office? \nICE personnel depart from District Ave. in unmarked vans with tinted windows on missions to abduct immigrants across New England. Immigrants may also show up at the office for appointments. The facility on District Ave was never intended to be a detention center\, yet immigration lawyers and media interviews reveal that people are now being housed here in conditions that have been called “abysmal” and “unsanitary.” \nWhat to expect at Justice 4 All? \nWe are committed to nonviolence\, and we stand peacefully with signs outside the facility. We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \nSigns \nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.
