SUMMARY:Pramila Jayapal Immigration Justice Resistance Lab Training
DESCRIPTION:About this event:\nAre you disturbed by the Trump Administration’s aggressive\, supercharged attacks on immigrant communities? As ICE gears up to further escalate their assaults\, it’s up to us to stand together and protect our rights. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to our special Immigration Justice Resistance Lab training session. Congresswoman Jayapal\, who was an immigrant rights’ organizer before heading to Congress and is currently the top Democrat on the Immigration Subcommittee in Congress\, will lead the training along with other experts in the field. We’ll dive into the history of our immigration system\, how the administration is using immigration to advance their authoritarian agenda\, and where we go from here. We’ll also discuss concrete actions people can take to support immigrant communities and protect our democracy.\n\n\n\n\n\nInterested in hosting a training with your friends and family on October 19th? We’ll show you how! Simply fill out this form: https://forms.gle/6UydjbHMg8XXGEbX9 . Once submitted\, a member of our team will reach out the week of the event with all the tools and resources you need to host a successful training.

We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \nSigns \nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.  \nParking and other tips \nFor parking\, please use the Macy’s overflow lot (75 Burlington Mall Road\, follow signs for Macy’s\, see map). For those with mobility challenges\, please keep in mind that the lots closest to ICE — the FAA lot beside ICE and the BAE Systems lot directly across the street from ICE — have both been blocked off. There are restaurants nearby (Clover\, Pressed Cafe\, Chipotle) to get food and use the bathroom. Before arriving\, please consider your own self-preservation (citizenship status) and self-care (sunscreen\, hydration\, etc.).

SUMMARY:ICE Out of Waltham Vigil & Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join our upcoming march: “ICE OUT OF WALTHAM!” Together\, we’ll stand against the harm ICE has caused in our community and demand a city where all our neighbors are safe and free. \nWe’ll gather at the Waltham District Courthouse and march to Waltham Common. We’ll also hold a community vigil honoring those taken from us by this unjust and authoritarian system. \nIf you’ve been directly impacted by ICE – or if you’re simply outraged by what’s happening – this is your moment to show up\, speak out\, and take space. ICE is not welcome in Waltham! \nAfter the vigil\, we’ll share next steps for local organizing\, mutual aid opportunities\, and ongoing actions – because the march is just the beginning! \nMeet at the Waltham District Courthouse (38 Linden St.) – March starts promptly at 11:15 AM. \nIt is our understanding that the route will be wheelchair and stroller accessible\, and it’s a relatively short walk. Please park in the parking lot across from the courthouse (by Petco) as there’s plenty of space there. We discourage parking directly at the District Court. \nIf you can\, carpool with friends and neighbors to help reduce traffic and make arrival smoother. \nThis will happen rain or shine so dress for the weather and bring water! \nBring a sign! \nStay peaceful. Our power is in our unity and discipline. Trained peacekeepers and marshals in yellow vests\, along with legal observers\, will be on site to ensure everyone’s safety. If you feel unsafe or need help during the event\, reach out to a marshal.\nBring a friend. Share this invitation\, spread the word\, and let’s fill the streets.  Bring your story. Those who’ve experienced ICE’s impact firsthand will be invited to share during the vigil. \nCan’t Make It In Person?  You can still be part of the movement: \n\nJoin Fuerza: We’re a neighborhood network protecting immigrant neighbors and responding to ICE activity in real time. If you are unfamiliar with our work\, here is a recent video clip showing how we support our community. If our values resonate with you\, fill out our inquiry form to get involved and trained.\nDonate: We continue to provide direct aid to families affected by raids and deportations. Monthly contributions – no matter the amount – go straight to those rebuilding their lives.

SUMMARY:Standout at Burlington ICE Office – Justice For All Thursdays
DESCRIPTION:Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN) invites you to stand in solidarity with immigrants and resistance to ICE and their cruel and lawless detention of our neighbors Thursdays from 11am-1pm\, starting September 4. Regardless of any other political views\, you are welcome to join us and demand Justice 4 All so long as you do so non-violently. \nOur friends at Bearing Witness have been hosting gatherings at this location for many weeks. We are an unaffiliated group\, but very much aligned with their values and mission. Our goal is to add to the total number of hours that citizens stand in non-violent opposition to the deplorable detainment conditions at this location. If you have been to Bearing Witness on Wednesdays\, we would love to have you at Justice 4 All Thursdays. \nSchedule (Starting Thursday\, September 4 – more dates to follow) \n11:00-11:30 Welcome; music; announcements\n11:30-12:30 Stand with signs along District Ave\n12:30-1:00 Optional short march down to Mall Rd. \nWhat happens at this ICE office? \nICE personnel depart from District Ave. in unmarked vans with tinted windows on missions to abduct immigrants across New England. Immigrants may also show up at the office for appointments. The facility on District Ave was never intended to be a detention center\, yet immigration lawyers and media interviews reveal that people are now being housed here in conditions that have been called “abysmal” and “unsanitary.” \nWhat to expect at Justice 4 All? \nWe are committed to nonviolence\, and we stand peacefully with signs outside the facility.
